BEING INTERESTED IS INTERESTING!

One of the most important principles Carnegie talks about in his book is: “become genuinely interested in other people.” For a very long time, I thought that to have meaningful conversations and gatherings, I needed to have extremely interesting stories to share. But it turns out that in actual meaningful conversations and in real life, it’s far more important to be interested than it is to be interesting. By listening to others and showing interest, we can spread compassion and integrity.
I have learned by reading Dale Carnegie’s book that if we really want a good network and to have an impact, the most critical thing in making connections is to be interested than interesting. The important key to meeting new people and making a good bond with them, it is important too show interest in them and talk about their favorite topic, themselves. Only then we can make a good connection with others. Dale Carnegie focuses that we spend so much time trying to be interesting but that’s not always important. The important thing in life is to show compassion to others, it is to listen and understand others.
Dale Carnegie’s principle of showing interest in others, when I applied in my real life, I realized how important it is to build strong connections. The important thing is, we can’t fake this. We need to show sincere interest in others without being too pushy. I applied this principle by showing sincere interest to my friends and family and it made a huge difference in my life as well as in the lives f my loved ones. I realized that it is very much needed in today’s world to spread love and show compassion to others. In return. my friends asked me to keep this connection going and this entire feeling was very overwhelming.
I’ve found that all I have to do is to show genuine concern to others. It's fascinating for me and very important to open up more opportunities.
